Muhammad Faryad

Muhammad Faryad is an associate professor of physics at LUMS. He joined LUMS in July 2014. Before that, he was a postdoctoral research scholar at the Pennsylvania State University from 2012 to 2014. He obtained his MSc and MPhil degrees in electronics from the Quaid-i-Azam University in 2006 and 2008, respectively, with certificates of merit in both degrees. He obtained his PhD degree in engineering science and mechanics from the Pennsylvania State University in 2012 with the best dissertation award by the university. He was awarded the Galleino Denardo award by the Abdus Salam International Center of Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in 2019 and the Early Career Achievement award by the department of engineering science and mechanics at the Pennsylvania State University in 2021
